Project Goals and Objectives

The project will contribute to the food security of Mangyan communities and the environmental protection of their ancestral domains. Specifically, the project will (a) identify the extent of increase in yield among  upland rice farms receiving organic inputs; (b) produce 500 sacks of organic fertilizers; (c)  collect and propagate  at least 10 endemic tree species which are currently listed as critically endangered; (d) enable at least 30 women to maintain vegetable gardens at home; and (e) provide hands-on training to 100 men and women on Sustainable Agriculture (SA) methods.
